Whether you’re hosting a barbecue at your Tri-Valley home, or you’re going out to one of the local fests or concerts, I hope you enjoy America’s birthday to your fullest ability! So, here I’ve gathered all the local information you need to know about what’s going on in Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin.

Start celebrating early on Wednesday, July 3, in Downtown Pleasanton from 6 to 9 p.m.! This is also a 1st Wednesday Street Party in Pleasanton, with the band ‘The Department of Rock’ featured in the beer and wine garden during the month of July. Numerous local businesses will have booths set up with their merchandise. Be sure to wear red, white and blue!

Start your 4th of July in the morning at the Dublin Farmers’ Market at Emerald Glen Park! The market is earlier than usual this day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so you can get everything you need for your holiday party, picnic or barbecue. Fresh, local produce is amazing on the grill, try it! Baked goods are available as well, because you can never forget dessert.

Head Downtown Livermore for their annual 4th of July Family Fun Fireworks Celebration on Thursday, July 4! From 4 to 9:30 p.m. at Las Positas College, you can enjoy family fun activities, arts and crafts, carnival rides, live entertainment, food from 12 different vendors, and so much more. Finish the night off enjoying a fireworks display under the starlit sky. Admission is $20 per vehicle or $5 per person walking in. Kids six years of age and younger are free!

Head to the 97th Alameda County Fair on July 4th! The Alameda Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA are open from now until July 7 for horse racing. On July 4, you can enjoy the Ride, White & Blues Festival and horse racing from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Seniors are free this day. If you miss fireworks on July 4, you can come back to the Fairgrounds July 5 for fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate the day after 4th of July at Las Positas Vineyards or Nottingham Cellars! First Friday is July 5 at Nottingham Cellars from 5 to 7 p.m., with wine poured by the glass, along with samples of fruit and cheese platters. At Las Positas Vineyards, you can enjoy a free concert from 6 to 9 p.m., along with Artisan pizzas, wine and beer.
