Harvest Wine Celebration This Weekend in Livermore Valley!

winebottlesHere in Livermore Valley, there is never a shortage of wine events, festivities and celebrations at our area wineries. This Labor Day weekend is no exception! The 32nd Annual Harvest Wine Celebration takes place Sept. 1 and 2, Sunday and Monday.

As your Livermore real estate agent, I highly suggest that you check out this fantastic, yearly local event. For one, it’s a great way to relax, unwind and enjoy your long, holiday weekend and the unofficial end to summer. Two, it’s a great way to socialize with other local residents and meet new people, especially if you just moved to Livermore Valley! Finally, it’s the perfect way to sip and sample local wines.

The two-day festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. each day and showcases 40 wineries in Livermore Valley Wine Country! This is the peak of harvest season as well, so it’s the perfect time to celebrate. Tickets cost $55 in advance, $65 the day of, and $10 for a designated driver. These tickets are good for both days, so if you don’t get to all 40 wineries in one day, have no fear!

With a ticket, you get entry into the participating wineries, complimentary wine tasting at over 40 wineries, shuttle service between wineries on Sunday, special activities, discounts when purchasing wine, a Livermore Valley Wine Country glass and an event program.

Most of the wineries are pouring straight from their tasting rooms in Livermore, Pleasanton, Sunol, Castro Valley and Danville. A group of wineries will also be pouring from Concannon Vineyard and another group from Wente Estates Vineyard each day.

Food vendors will be present at a number of participating wineries, along with local artisans and festive music. On Sunday, you can take the free shuttle buses to and from the wineries. On Monday, the wineries are offering a more intimate experience, with special, unique experiences at each of their tasting rooms.

Livermore Valley hosts all sorts of winery events throughout the year, so if you’ve got other plans this weekend, stay tuned for future events! Aside from this, Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin and other Tri-Valley towns have an assortment of events, festivals and activities to enjoy this weekend.

What are your weekend plans? As a Tri-Valley real estate agent, I’d love to hear how you’re spending the weekend! It’d also be a great time to work on some landscaping and home upgrades, for when you sell your Livermore Valley home this fall. Looking to buy a Livermore Valley home?
