5 Events Happening in Livermore Valley This Weekend!

cartwheelsAnother work week comes to a close as we say farewell to this year’s harvest full moon while enjoying new wines from our Livermore Valley wineries! Aside from wine, there is lots to look forward to this weekend in Livermore Valley, including craft fairs, moonlit strolls, cartwheels and more.

As your Livermore Valley real estate agent, I think it’s important to take a break from the hustle and bustle of our weekday routines and to let loose on the weekends. Check out this list of events happening this weekend and choose one to partake in!

1.  The Pleasanton Harvest Festival is happening all weekend, Sept. 20 through Sept. 22! This is one of the largest indoor arts and craft shows on the West Coast, so don’t miss it! There will be over 24,000 handmade items. While you shop and browse, there will also be live music and entertainment, a Kid Zone, food and prize drawings. It all takes place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

2.  Yesterday was the harvest full moon but it’ll still be shining bright this weekend! Join Livermore Park District for a Moonrise Hike, beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday. A group will take off together from Sycamore Grove Park, Wetmore Road Entrance, and will hike onto the hills to gaze at the stars and to watch the sun go down and the moon go up. The walk is approximately 2.5 miles round-trip.

3.  Speaking of harvest, a couple of our local Livermore Valley wineries are celebrating harvest season with new wines and tastings this weekend! Head to Rodrigue Molyneaux in Livermore tomorrow for their 12th harvest celebration. You can enjoy sampling an array of sausage and mustard pairings, and you’ll get to try their very first Petit Verdot!

4.  Then head to Fenestra Winery Saturday or Sunday for their Harvest Wine Tasting. This is Fenestra’s 37th harvest! They’ll be celebrating with live music from Hit ‘N Run Band, local art and craft vendors, chocolates, food, and of course, wine. Tastings will include new releases, such as “Best of the Bay Red Wine” 2010 Graciano and more.

5.  Who ever said Sundays have to be lazy and boring? This Sunday, gather family and head to the West Coast Training Center’s Second Annual Cartwheels & Carnivals for a Cause! This will take place at 50 Wright Brothers Ave. in Livermore from noon to 3 p.m. and will include a cartwheel-a-thon, face painting, an acrobatics show, a live DJ and much more. All proceeds will benefit the Taylor Family Foundation.

Enjoy your weekend. As always, if you’ve got questions about the Livermore Valley real estate market, or you’re ready to buy a Livermore home or sell a Livermore home, contact me! I’m always ready to help you out with your real estate endeavors.
